Our adorable little man, Sean, has found a forever home. He will be living in New Jersey with Menna and we are very happy for him. With his incredibly thick coat he definitely needs to be somewhere up north! “grin” He is so affectionate and loving….I know he will steal the hearts of everyone there.

We are still waiting on Bella to start labor. She had a big temperature drop today, so we are hoping it might be tonight. I will post news of her litter as soon as she decides to have them!

Our sweet Bella looks like a little inflated toy. She is so swollen and about ready to pop. We started taking her temp today and are ready for her pups to be born anytime. Her official due date is not until Saturday, but she usually delivers a few days early, so we are prepared! I think she is still a few days off, because although she is getting very uncomfortable, she is still eating heartily and moving around pretty well. Keep checking back and we will keep you posted on her progress!

Our beautiful little Bella is getting extremely fat! She is in the “waddling” stage now and really slowing down. She spreads her body out on the tile floor like a fan, to have as much of her belly as she can, exposed to the coolness of the floor. Oh how I remember those long summer days being pregnant and hot!
She is the queen right now though, pampered beyond reason. She is so spoiled….but that’s ok because once her babies come, she does such a great job and works so hard. I’m glad she is enjoying some sleep and lots of rest right now. She still has about 10 or 12 days to go and we are getting super excited.
Keep checking back for updates. We already have one deposit for a female on this litter, but she usually has three or four and we are hoping for girls! We have had quite a run of males lately so we are due some girls.

I know many of you in the country are experiencing extreme weather this summer. The news is so full of weather disasters throughout our country. I am so sorry if you are involoved in any of these.

After such an amazingly wet and green summer last year, this June was one of the hottest and driest recorded in the last 100 years. I know we will get relief soon, but it is so saddening to see everything green wilting and so thirsty!
Our dogs feel it too. They are spending most of their day just chilling in front of their fan inside with the air conditioning! It is hilarious to watch them decide who gets to stand in front.
Even with air conditioning, they love to have air blowing on them, so we have put a big double fan out for them. So they take turns (sometimes amiably, sometimes not!) as to who will get the front air. You really get to see who is “top dog” that day. One day I will get a video of it and post it….too cute!
