This year is turning out to be a tough one….I lost my only brother to cancer this past month and way too soon.  I have been out of state at least once a month for the past year and it is beginning to show around here….but I wouldn’t have changed it for anything.

Cancer is such a wicked disease….seeing it up close and personal….just so wrong…..almost like an alien has taken possession of the body to do with as he pleases….

He will be greatly missed….he was so loved and his personality was bigger than life….so hard to understand, but I know there is a greater purpose and he is free of pain and suffering, and I will see him again. In order to distract one’s self from tough moments like this, one can play games such as 제왕카지노.

Coming home to a “new” normal is a challenge, but I am trying to get my head straight and in the game again….my heart will be a long time healing, but life marches on and I am trying to find the beauty and goodness around me again and to have a grateful heart.  I am keenly aware of the brevity of life and I do not want to miss a moment.

I hope your year has been better than mine, but I know we are all in this together and we can do it.

I had a litter of four beautiful little creatures born this week and I am reminded again of the miracle of life.  This was Gemma’s first litter and it never ceases to amaze me how these mamas know exactly what to do the moment the pup is in the world…..she is such a great mom and we are so blessed with these tiny new creatures.  I will be posting the litter sometime this week.

Spring in Texas this year has been incredibly beautiful and has stayed cool…(which we will take any day).  I hope you are enjoying all the color with the wildflowers in bloom and the trees blossoming….my favorite time of year.

Is it really 2018?!….this past year has been as fast as a merry go round.

This past year has been so full and I have learned so many things I never thought I would need to know….very difficult in so many ways, but rising to the challenges has made me wiser and stronger (I hope).

I know there will be many more new challenges this year, but I am facing this year head on….looking for the best and counting my blessings and promising myself to be thankful every day.   At this stage of life every day is a blessing and I want to use it well.

My goal for this year is to embrace all the things I have put on the back burner for so long now….trying not to have unrealistic expectations but one can dream, right?!  Seems like we start new big projects every year but this year I hope to finish some of those projects! LOL

We have retired a lot of our moms this past year and will retire several more this year so we have a lot of new moms coming up….always fun because we never really know what they will give us until the puppies get here.  We are super excited about all of our newest moms….very sweet and so pretty!  We have also added a new white stud that may be giving us some pretty babies by late this year…he is the sweetest little guy in the world.

I hope you are all looking forward to positive things this year and embracing the future with boldness and courage.  May this New Year be filled with Love, Laughter and Sweet Lemonade!!!

Ahhhh, how I love this time of year.  I savor every minute of Springtime.  Everything is vibrant and alive and exploding with color….I wish it could always be like this.  The air is crisp and the rays of the sun so warm with a nice cool breeze….love, love, love….Our Spring is so brief here we have to savor every moment.  I have been so busy this Spring with puppies but I still have to take time to sit in my swing with a hot cup of tea and soak in the beauty….it is fleeting….

We have such a beautiful group of puppies right now….lots of blacks.  We were supposed to have lots of merles, but sometimes you just get black instead….but that’s ok…the blacks are  beautiful too.

All of our poms love this time of year too.  I keep having to do a “double” take as I pass by the big window where I watch them in the back….twice this week it looked like a horrible massacre with them all laid out in the grass like they had been shot.  After a brief gasp and a double heartbeat, I realized they were ALL completely asleep laid out in the grass with the wind blowing their hair and soaking in the rays and the cool fresh air….what a life!  LOL  It was really a sight to see.

It is a blustery day here with winds up to 50 mile an hour gusts!  Our little poms don’t know what to think of all this.  Since we live in a forest that burned several years back, the woods are filled with dead trees and we are hearing them snapping, popping, and falling!

I think its a good day for staying inside….the weather this winter has been crazy like all the winters in Texas….it was 23 degrees a few weeks ago and then within a 24 hour span it was 80 degrees!  So crazy….closets have to have extra room here because we can never put away our summer clothes!  🙂

Our newest little “batch” of puppies are the cutest things we have ever had! (I know…I always say that, but they just keep getting cuter and cuter! 🙂 ).  They are getting so big now and will be leaving us soon.    I never cease to wonder at how quickly they transform from tiny little fluffballs to fiery little firecrackers….I just love them.
