Sept. 4, 2011
We live in a very beautiful wooded area in the Piney Woods of Bastrop County and today we were faced with mandatory evacuation from our home due to a massive wildfire. The fire is still not contained, but we are safe and have relocated with our dogs to my son’s house in Austin. I obviously will not be updating the website in the next few days until we know if or when we can go home.
All of our pups are safe with us, but very disoriented and confused to say the least.
Thanks to all of you who are already praying for us and for so many others who have not been so fortunate today.
I will try to keep you posted as I can.

RETIRING CRYSTAL
Sept. 2, 2011
We are retiring our beautiful girl, “Crystal” and I have just posted her as available on the Adults for Sale page. She is such a sweet girl and will make someone a very loyal and wonderful companion.
Please let me know if you have any interest in her….
Would love for you to come meet her! 🙂
We want her new home to be a really good fit, for both her and her new family, so we would prefer someone local or within driving distance. Let me know if you need more details.
RUBY’S BABIES ARE HERE
Sept. 2, 2011
Ruby surprised us today by going into labor and very quickly giving birth to three gorgeous little babies. She had one cream boy, one orange parti boy, and a beautiful blue merle female. All are doing extremely well and I will have pictures and stats up by Sunday.
For a first time mom, Ruby is doing fantastic and it just never ceases to amaze us how the moms always know exactly what to do when those babies start coming. Ruby was so fearful and nervous with her contractions and totally clueless, but the moment that first baby popped out she was right on it as if she had been doing this forever!
How does that happen?! So much fun to watch and see the transition from darkness to life in the bright new world and the love and attention that surrounds them. So amazing….
More details to come soon.
Hope everyone enjoys a fantastic weekend!
DOGGONE HOT!
August 31, 2011
This has been the most incredibly hot summer I can ever remember.
As we enter into September tomorrow I can only hope and pray for some relief….
The “Kids” are ready for some relief too! The baby pools of water are too hot to even cool them off, so they spend most of their time inside in the AC (who can blame them!). But they do love the cool weather when it comes…..they love to romp and play and chase each other all over the place. I look forward to sitting outside and feeling a little crispness in the air…..back to reality….oh well.
Ellie’s babies are growing and getting bigger and stronger everyday….she has so much milk and they are taking advantage of it! She hardly leaves them for a second….such a great mom.
Both of Ellie’s girls have already sold, but our gorgeous little merle boy is still available.
I think all of my breedings took, yeah! , so I may have 3 or 4 more litters coming in the next month. These will be the last ones I have ready to go home this year, with the exception of Nessie. If she took, her babies will be ready just before Christmas.
I have loved hearing from so many of you….keep those updates coming….I feel like I can still love my pups from afar! Thanks so much for keeping me updated.
Have a great week!
