Well some of our Spring babies are starting to leave us and it is indeed bittersweet. I love seeing the excitement on the faces of the new families when they see their new babies, but I have grown accustomed to their sweet faces and will miss them dearly.
We have had some of the most beautiful babies we have ever had this Spring and all of them so sweet. The moms have been awesome and everyone has done so well.
May has been such a busy month for us so far, and I am a little behind on my updates and pictures, but we have had an unexpected death of an extended family member, a college graduation….hosted a wedding shower and then a wedding coming up in June, so I have been super busy. I hope to catch up on my photos and updates this week for sure.
I hope everyone has enjoyed this gorgeous Spring and making great fun plans for the summer. We have enjoyed the rains here so much after such a long drought and we are hoping this will not be a scorching summer like last year.
This is a great time to adopt a puppy if you have kids home for the summer….what a great time to add a new family member and have all summer to play! 🙂
BABIES GOING HOME
LAST PUPPIES HAVE ARRIVED!
April 29, 2012
Well, this has been one of the busiest Springs we have ever had and we are so excited about all of the beautiful babies our girls have given us. Ruby delivered her litter on April 17th and she has given us four of the most unusual and gorgeous babies….three girls and one boy.
Pictures and stats should be up soon on the available page.
The very next day, Ellie gave us two gorgeous white boys….both very strong and just stunning. I will have their pictures up sometime later in the week.
All of our mommas and babies are doing well and keeping us very busy! Our house has babies in just about every corner! 🙂
I love it! :)…..I know I’m a little crazy, but I just adore baby pomeranians and they are just irresistible.
We are officially done with all of our Spring litters now, so we will be spending our next few weeks taking care of all the pups on the ground. I am trying to keep my website photos as up to date as possible, so let me know if you see one that tugs on your heart!
Each baby always makes someone so very happy, and that is why I LOVE what I do…..so much joy….so much love….so much fun! (and my husband would remind me….so much work! LOL)
WHAT ARE LITTLE BOYS MADE OF?
April 16, 2012
What are little girls made of? _Sugar and Spice and everything nice, that’s what little girls are made of_
What are little boys made of? _Frogs and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails….that’s what little boys are made of…._
I know lots of you have heard that poem….and for we humans, that is true 🙂
However, little boy poms are awesome!
I wrote this awhile back when so many people were asking about the difference between boys and girls, so I thought I might post it again…since we have so many little boys available right now! 🙂
There are definitely pros & cons to owning a female or male pomeranian puppy, so it is always an individual decision. However, here are some thoughts…..
The biggest complaint I often hear about boys is that they like to “mark” and have a hard time potty training. If properly nuetered at the right time, this tendency is greatly improved and they can be trained just as well as the females. There are actually great advantages to owning a male….they tend to be less moody, usually much more affectionate, and the biggest advantage of all is that they do not “blow” their coats as often as the females. Of course the males, (just like every other species, except for humans, of course…”grin”) are usually the prettiest and have the nicest coats. They will still shed some, and lose some of their coat once a year or so, but not nearly as much as the females do. All in all, they make extraordinary pets and incredibly loyal companions, and my boys stay happy all the time! (Just love ’em and feed ’em and they are happy! mmm, sounds familiar doesn’t it?!)
Now for the girls….the biggest complaint about girls is losing their coat once or twice a year and dealing with their cyles….however, this can be greatly improved by spaying as it is related to hormonal cycles. They also tend to be a little “bossy” and “independent”, and somewhat “moody” in my experience (wow…I’m realizing we girls are the same everywhere! “grin”)….however…….having said all that, there is just something about the girls, well, we’re just irresistible, don’t you think?!
Bottom line is that both genders come with their own particulars, but truthfully pomeranians have personalities that completely steal your heart….each one is individual and unique, and you wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world. (And it is truly hard to own just one! “grin”)
Hope this helps!
BOYS ARE FANTASTIC!
April 16, 2012
Wow….I have currently sold all my girls, but we still have some AWESOME little boys available. I have had quite a crazy run on the girls, but I have to say….the boys are really great too! They typically have more beautiful coats than the girls and temperaments are usually a little more even (if neutered). They are happy almost all the time, and extremely loyal. I did a little write up on boys vs. girls awhile back, so I may post that again soon.
We have some great little guys to choose from!
Hope you are enjoying a wonderful Spring day….
